Prince 2 Foundation and Practitioner Training in Malaysia and Indonesia: The project Management Methodology

Structured project management means managing the project in a logical, organised way, following defined steps. A structured project management method is the written description of this logical, organised approach, PRINCE2™ (PRojects IN a Controlled Environment) is a structured project management method.

PRINCE2™ is a method for managing projects. It helps you work out who should be involved and what they will be responsible for. It gives you a set of processes to work through and explains what information you should be gathering along the way. But PRINCE2™ doesn’t do the work for you; it cannot guarantee your projects will be successful. Good projects, which deliver quality results, on-time and within budget are dependent on the capability of people involved from Project Board down to individual members.

This course confirms to the syllabus for those delegates wishing to gain PRINCE2™ Foundation Level Certification.

About the qualification:

The two levels of qualification are Foundation and Practitioner. Foundation confirms your understanding of what PRINCE2 is, Practitioner shows your knowledge in the application of PRINCE2.

If your role is one of being on the periphery of Projects, perhaps Project Administration, sponsor or on secondment, then Foundation level may suffice. It tells people that you can work within a PRINCE2 project effectively.

If you are a contractor or Project Manager, then chances are Practitioner level is the right certification, as it demonstrates the ability to run PRINCE2 projects.

For individuals, we would say that the majority do eventually go to practitioner level, some in stages, others in one go.

Learning Methodology:

This course is 4-full days instructor led with limited class size.

Pre-course materials will be given to participants upon full payment or upon receipt of official P.O. or L.O. FREE pre-course & post course, fully accredited Computer Based Training package (CBT).

Why CBT & Instructor Led training (Blended Approach)

Empirical data from our training programmes have found that there is a very significant improvement in understanding, retention, and ability to apply, when participants are trained using the CBT prior to classroom training. It will also help in the post class revision as the participants return to implement their newly learned knowledge. Real life CASE studies and exercises will be used throughout the course to ensure participants fully understand the practical implementation of PRINCE2 in the actual work environment.

Target Audience:

This level aims to measure whether a candidate would be able to act as an informed member of a project management team using the PRINCE2™ method. To this end they need to show they understand the principles and terminology of the method.

Prerequisites:

Delegates should have an understanding of project management but knowledge of PRINCE2™ is not required.

Foundation Examination:

Foundation examination which takes place on the 4th day of training.
